(and just so she doesn't feel left out, here's a recent one of my other gorgeous girl, Caoimhe Rose )
So every time I update my blog, and tell you it's time again for Handmade Monday I know I'm getting one more Monday nearer to the end of my maternity leave, and one Monday nearer to being a working mum again.
However, it also means I get to have a good look round other people's blogs and see what they've been up to as well!
On the making front I've been a bit slack for the last few days. I've not been feeling so great thanks to the Snot Fairy visiting, so not done an awful lot. I have managed a couple of hats, though, including a design for the boys - what do you think?:
I've also been toying with a few other ideas, as well as spending a fair bit of time on UK Scrappers, all in the name of research you understand, looking for some inspiration for papery type projects, and looking to get into some swaps, too. I managed to get myself some lovely chunky baby yarn on Friday, in that mad, mad weather we had in Manchester, and I shall hopefully be making something out of it in the next week or two. I'd like to say it won't be hats, but it probably will be! I've updated on my Facebook page and you can see pics of the yarn I bought on there too!
As well as linking up with Wendy again this week, I also wanted to share a couple of other links with you. These blogs are by some of my lovely mummy friends over on Verity. and definitely worth a read so please pay them a visit of you have a few minutes spare:
Rach at This Woman's Work shares life as a twinkie mummy, and Hilary at Bishopston Mum is a full time mum who shares ideas of places to go and things to do in/near Bristol with your kids. Naomi at Mrs B's Blog isn't a mummy yet, but I really hope she is one day soon! And Beth at My Name is Beth often has really informative posts about parenting type things. All are worth a look.
Well that's it for me for now. Til next time!

Great hat! You are so right about hats for boys, I despaired of finding one to knit for boys, so I designed my own pattern. I really love the little stalk detail :)
Time really does fly, especially when you're enjoying yourself. Your girls are beautiful its going to be difficult for you to leave them to go back to work (maybe you should have another?!)
That little boys hat is so cute. X
Your girls are beautiful. I love the hat that Teaghan Alice is wearing. It is hard to find hats for boys - you can't make them as 'pretty' as you can for girls Mich x
I think the boy's hat has turned out fine-I'm sure Samuel would've loved one!
Love the hats they are so pretty as are the girls
Your hat looks lovely, as does the gorgeous Teaghan Alice modelling it. Hard to believe she is already six month old. Hope you have a good week.
Time flies doesn't it? Enjoy them while they are little. Love the hat, very cute x
Lovely hat! She looks very snuggly in the first pic too :)
Enjoy the rest of your maternity leave, I'm not a Mum but i can only try to imagine what it is like. A friend of mine has been at home with hers for 2 years now. She must be one of the lucky ones!xx
Cute pictures! And the blue boy hat is very cool!
Cute hat! Such a cute hat!
Love thre hats. You are right, it doesn't seem five minutes since your little one arrived. She looks real cute in that hat. Nice one of Caoimhe too. It will be very hard going back to work and leaving them.
Your girls are growing up so fast! But I enjoy this so much, you cannot believe that it wasn't that long ago (is 30 years that long?) since I too was a Mom to little ones (boys, but still...) and this just puts me back there! The hat is very cute. :)
Lovely photos - the hats are very, very cute. Going back to work will be hard, but you get really good cuddles when you collect little people and adult conversation! Off to visit the blogs you mentioned.

Aww Helen thanks for the plug, I don't get much traffic, although to be honest that wasn't really the reason for it when I first blogged, it was just a little outlet for me.
Your girls are beautiful and hats are verrrrry cute. You may get a commission once I have got round to buying the necessities for Teeny and I get on to the indulgent purchases! ;) Better get a wriggle on really.
