She has been at her nursery since October, and has really enjoyed it, so we decided to make a card to say thank you. I wanted to put her picture on it, so they would remember her!
I used my Craft Artist software again. It's getting a lot of use!
We had a big baking day in the week, too. First of all we made chocolate chip Herman pancakes, then homemade potato cakes for dinner and chicken pasties for tea. Caoimhe enjoyed helping me, especially with the pasties. She enjoyed eating them, too!
Note the new instagram app! That's getting a fair bit of use too!
I've been doing a bit of writing as well, and had an article published on the Herman the German Friendship Cake website. It includes a recipe for herman pancakes, so if you're interested, you can read it here.
So the summer holidays are upon us now. This is my 'first time' so I'm quite excited about all the fun things we can do together, once I've sorted out the nightmare that is school holiday childcare that is! What have you all got planned for your little ones for the next 6 weeks??
As usual I'm linking up with Wendy at Handmade Harbour for Handmade Monday, lots of lovely, inspiring blogs over there so take a look!
Off now to make sure I have tissues in my bag for Caoimhe's last day. Motherhood has really turned me into a wimp!
Til next time!

Well done on having your article published - have read it and it is great. The thank you card is lovely - a nice idea to have a photograph on it too. Looks like summer has arrived just in time for the school holidays. Hope you have a good week.
Time goes so fast, in a blink of an eye and goes quicker as you get older. I am now sure only 4 days in the week, sure there used to be 7. Have a good holiday
I love the holidays - we spend time doing all the things we don't have time for usually - going to parks for picnics, playing games in the garden, baking etc. I always plan far too much. Just enjoy it - it goes far too fast!!
I used to love the hols when my two were at school. I recently asked my 30+ daughter what she remembered most and it was things like playing pooh sticks by the river, having a water bomb fight in the garden and having a 'HUGE' ice cream in the park, so these are the type of things she is doing with her 3 year old :o) Above all.... enjoy your time together, it goes so quickly.

Hope you have lots of fun stuff to do together over the summer Hols.
Love the card it's gorgeous. Enjoy the holidays, unfortunately i have always had to work as my kids grew so never had a full summer with them.
Such a big step when they leave nursery, those baby years are over so quickly. I'm off to read your article, I've manage to avoid Herman so far, I wouldn't be able to find enough people to pass him on to where I live now, but I had one when my children were small and it was great fun!
@dreamstar: i am so lucky that i can work part time and can do all my hrs in 2 days. It means i get to spend lots of time with the girls really x
@Planet Penny: I'm so greedy with my Herman i rarely get to pass any on!
Enjoy the summer hols - hope the sun shines for you xx
